Recently, while walking through an office, I burst out laughing. In this business, computer towers are being used as door stops.
As you know, technology changes rapidly but this seemed unbelievable. The machines look new. I’m sure they’ve been replaced with more compact, powerful, and cheaper models.
But it is kind of shocking to think that just one of the towers contains more computing power than the Apollo 11 mission had when it landed on the moon. The spaceship is in a museum. This computer is holding a door open.
Things can change and it’s not limited to machines.
