In your organization, you may have some big goals and sometimes those goals may make people feel a little uncomfortable. They’re going to have to get outside of their comfort zone do, somethings differently.
Are you concerned with them buying into it? Are they going to revert back to old habits and undermine your big goals?
I think a key here is to have an honest communication with your employees. Talk to them about why you’re making a change, why you have a certain goal, and then talk about how they fit into it and why their buy-in is important.
People will accept hardship. They will sacrifice if they think it’s for a good reason.
You need to provide that motivation to them. Make them feel good about being part of a, let’s call it a movement, that will help you and them both achieve goals.
