Here’s something to consider before you invest in business training. Business training can give you an edge. You and your team can learn some great information. And there’s lots of good business training courses out there.

But sometimes you may be nervous about the price. Before you get started, before you sign on the dotted line, I want you to consider something. Because you really want to think about what will be your return on investment.

I want you to consider whether the training is more like a recipe or a thunderstorm. Now I know this sounds a little weird, work with me here.

A recipe, it’s like a recipe for a cake. If you mix all the ingredients together, follow the instructions, then you will get a cake. It’s pretty well guaranteed.

If it’s more like a thunderstorm, there may be some wild cards involved. Because a thunderstorm only happens when a whole bunch of weather conditions align. You could have clouds but no thunderstorm. You could have rain but no thunderstorm.

So you’re not always sure if you’re going to get the results that you want and some of those variables may be out of your control.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t invest in a thunderstorm. But before you sign on that dotted line, before you put up a bunch of money, make sure you understand how likely are you going to get the results that you want.

And of course, with any training system, your success will depend on putting in the time and effort to follow through on it. There’s no magic solution. But just keep those two things in mind. Recipe… Thunderstorm. Ask before you commit.
