Video Transcript for Good Time Management Tips
Let’s find the time to talk about time management. This is a simple yet powerful time management tip. For a week or two, I want you to track when you think you are getting your best work done. Where you’re able to jam through that to do list or perhaps you’re really able to focus on important tasks.
What time of day really works for you? Now, I want you to open up your online calendar at work. Can you block off those times?
The reason being, you found a good time, when you were really able to work well. Don’t let someone schedule a meeting during that time. Remember, people who were scheduling meetings are are usually looking at availability. They’re not thinking about your productivity. It can just be a tentative thing you put up on there. But you’re kind of protecting your time a little bit, making that it’s not taken away by just a meeting.
Finally for that really special time, can you also be unavailable for a little while? Not gonna check email. Not going to answer your phone. Maybe you can even close your door. The idea being, you’re protecting that time and you’re making it so that you could be a successful as possible.
Even if this is just for 30 minutes, it can really help you get a lot of important work done. So, I urge you to try it. You should make time for when you are when you perform at your best.
