Video Transcript for Schedule Time for Innovation

You’re a fan of innovation but as a leader do you take time to be innovative? Look at your calendar. Look at the past week. Look at the past month. How much time are you giving yourself to be innovative?

I’m sure you’ll see lots of meetings or other tasks that are blocked out on your schedule. But are you ever spending time on innovation? On new ideas. On trying new things. You can’t expect to become more innovative if you don’t take time to do it.

So, start to block out a little bit of time every week. It could just be a half hour to learn something new. To see if an idea might work in your organization.

You’re investing your time in the future. Just because you have a busy schedule, doesn’t mean you can’t block off some time for innovation. Give it a try. I think you’ll see a difference by the end of the year, if you make that commitment.
